Provides leadership to local system nursing leaders to identify and develop learning activities and professional development opportunities to ensure state of the art practice among all classifications of care-givers in nursing services across all BSHSI entities. Evaluates educational needs and learning opportunities; coordinates and provides education activities to develop comprehensive and consistent standards of education and development in all local systems, including clinical staff development, new clinical employee orientation and student activities across all local system . Assists the CNOs in local system with program development, ensures quality standard of all clinical education, coordinates clinical education across BSHSI, conducts performance improvement initiatives, and communicates advances in clinical knowledge and practices.
